History
Dixon Valve and Coupling Company was founded in Philadelphia in March 1916 by Howard W. Goodall. Mr Goodall travelled to construction sites in order to identify hose and coupling requirements to provide purpose built products and solutions.

This dedication to understanding customer needs and then adding value through new and effective solutions continues to be a hallmark of Dixon around the world.

Dixon Valve & Coupling Company established an Australian operation in November 1997. In March 1999 it acquired Mining Supplies Australia (Minsup) to form Dixon Minsup. This brought together over 150 years of experience in the development of industrial hose fittings.

The further acquisition of National Trade Sales in December 1999 expanded the group's expertise in the area of industrial plumbing and fire protection equipment. Expansion into the hose and irrigation market followed.

In April 2003 the group was consolidated under the Dixon name, which is recognised for its proven Minsup and Dixon Boss brands.

Sales offices have recently been opened in both Shanghai (China) and Mumbai (India).
